Obituary of Abraham Carmel
Abraham Peter Carmel, 70, of Palm City, FL, died May 1, 2009 at the Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart.
Born in Kolozsvar, Hungary, he had lived in Palm City for over 5 years coming from Cortlandt Manor, New York where he lived for over 30 years. He was a Holocaust survivor, grew up in Israel and served in the Israel Defense Forces before coming to New York.
He worked as an independent industrial designer in Tel Aviv and the New York City area for many years. .
He was a member of the Industrial Design Society of America.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Judith Carmel; daughters Keren Carmel of Palm City and Orna Carmel of Seville, Spain; a sister, Leah Neumann of Haifa, Israel and 3 grandchildren.
SERVICES: There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
