Obituary of Albert Melo
Albert E. Melo, 85, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart.
Born in Willimantic, CT, he has resided in Palm City for 13 years coming from Stuart, where he had resided for 17 years, coming from Williamantic.
Prior to retirement he was owner and operator of Alberts Beauty Salon in Williamantic.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Melo, three brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, including Kathleen Melo-White of Newport, RI; nephews, John Knapp of Palm City and Henry Bertora of Willimantic, CT.
Calling hours will be 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Monday, February 12, 2007 at Forest Hills Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM, Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
