Obituary of Albert Mittleman

Albert Mittleman, 83, died October 21, 2010 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. Born in Bronx, NY, he moved to the Treasure Coast in 1982, coming from Connecticut. He moved to Port Saint Lucie in 1988 from Stuart. He was former owner of Arco Refrigeration in Connecticut and worked in facilities management in Palm Beach Gardens. He was a member of Temple Beth El Israel in St. Lucie West and an associate member of Hadassah.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. He received the American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Alma Mittleman of Port Saint Lucie; daughter, Lisa Randall of Trumbull, CT; son, Jonathan Mittleman of Stuart; sister, Estelle Colao of West Haverstraw, NY; brother, Harold Mittleman of Ft. Lauderdale; and two grandchildren.

SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM, October 24, 2010 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel in Palm City. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City.
