Albert G. Russert, 92, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on August 2, 2018 at the Martin Medical Center, Stuart, Florida.

Born in Astoria, NY, he had been a resident of Palm City for 9 years coming from Ocala, FL.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.

Before retiring he was a police officer with the NYPD.

He was a member of NYC PBA. He enjoyed playing pool and was a sports enthusiast. He was especially a fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the NY Jets and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Survivors include his wife, Carlene Russert; his daughter, Susan Bonasera and her husband John of Huntington, NY; his step daughters, Donna Noto, of Port St. Lucie, FL, Sallyanne Noto and her husband Barry Loomis of Hypoluxo, FL, Carlene Rossi and her husband Walter of Andover, NJ, Ginny Meier and her husband William of Mastic Beach, NY and Julianne Noto of Ridge, NY; his grandchildren, Michael Vassallo and his wife Jeana, Paul Vassallo and his wife, Amanda, Stephen Vassallo, Joseph Bonasera, Thomas Trudnak, Michelle Guntis, Donna Guntis Gigliello, Joseph Spigonardo, Michael Rubio, Laura D'arienzo, Kristyn Burney, Kaitlin Johnson, Carly Dittrich, Jerry Lucey, Daisy Noto, and his great grandchildren,  Dylan, Owen and Jaxon.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Forest Hills Palm City Chapel.  There will be a celebration of his lifest 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the funeral home chapel followed by interment with military honor provided by the U.S. Navy in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
