Obituary of Alfred Russell

Alfred E. Russell, 95, of Palm City, Florida, died March 26, 2012 at Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart.

Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, he had been a resident of Palm City for 40 years coming from Key Largo, Florida.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1934 to 1936.

Before retiring he was a pipefitter and welder with the Plumber and Pipefitters Union Local 630 for 61 years. He was a member of the Masonic Order.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Marcy Russell of Palm City; a daughter, Barbara Russell Shealy of Cartersville, Georgia; sons, Greg Russell of Boone, North Carolina and Randy Lee Russell of Jacksonville, Florida; a step-daughter, Ann Owens Simmons of Gainesville, Georgia; a step-son, Ron Harold Owens of Palm City; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by, a son, Alfred Eugene Russell Jr. and stepsons Greg Owens and Darrell Owens.

SERVICES: There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on March 28, 2012 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army.
