Alice Louise Vedera

Alice L. Vedera, 90, of Vero Beach FL., was united with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday November 25th. She was born on July 16, 1933, in Seat Pleasant, Maryland to Joseph and Ruth Hickman (Cox). Alice graduated from McKinley Tech High School in Washington, DC in 1951. She spent the majority of her professional life in the insurance field.

Alice had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment that she spent with them. She enjoyed music and shared her voice as a choir member at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Vero Beach and by playing the organ at the Barefoot Bay and Vero Beach organ clubs.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years Vincent P. Vedera, her brother Thomas R. Hickman (Russell), her sister Ruth E. Pence (Evelyn), and her daughter Donna Bailey-Inks. Alice is survived by her daughter Brenda S. Bryan and her three sons: Brian L. Bailey and his wife Helen, Bruce L. Bailey and his wife Sarah, and David A. Vedera and his wife Karen. Alice's love will continue on, as she is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
This earth lost a wonderful and beautiful soul, but God gained and angel for his choir. May she now rest in eternal peace and rejoice in being reunited with her family and friends who preceded her in death.

Alice will have a funeral service to celebrate her life at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1850 Sixth Avenue, Vero Beach on Friday December 8th at 10:00. She will be laid to rest at the Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, Florida.
