Allan H. Jones, 80, of Port St Lucie, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 24 ^th 2021.

Allan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne and 3 children; Glenn (Adeyne) Jones of Charleston, South Carolina, Scott (Sue) Jones of Deptford, NJ and Christine (Robert) McKenna of Palm City Florida.  He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Greg, Maureen, Samantha, Sabrina, Anastasia, Tyler, Hollie, Scott Jr., Randy, Laura, Anna and 1 great grandchild, Olivia.  Allan is also pre-deceased in death by his parents, Ralph and Lillian Jones, his brother Edwin Jones and his son Ralph H. Jones III.

Allan was born August 29 ^th , 1940 in Philadelphia, PA and lived there for 36 years before moving to Cherry Hill, NJ in 1976 and retiring to Port St. Lucie, FL in 2004.   He served in the US Army/Reserves as a medic for 8 years before being honorable discharged in 1966.   In 1958 Allan started his career at Temple University, starting off as a pipe fitter before becoming a boiler engineer and then a facilities manager in the maintenance department.  He worked there 46 years, before retiring in 2004.   Allan was also very active in his community, in both Philadelphia and Cherry Hill.  He enjoyed coaching baseball and softball, but his true passion was as a volunteer firefighter.  He became a member of the Church Road Fire Department in Cherry Hill in 1977, which became a family calling with his three sons following in his footsteps until retiring from service in 1992. He will be remembered as a loving husband to his wife, a caring Father to his children and a good friend to many.

A service commemorating his life will be held at the Forrest Hill Funeral Home in Palm City, FL on Wednesday March 31 ^st .  A viewing, open to all friends and family to be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

It is the family's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of a charitable donation to the Treasure Coast Humane Society in Palm City.
