Almond D. Fiddis, 92, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on January 2, 2018 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House, Fort Pierce, Florida.
Born in Black River, Jamaica W.I., he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 28 years coming from Brooklyn, New York.
Before retiring he was a home heating mechanic with Metro Fuel and Oil in Brooklyn for over 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Monica Fiddis of Port St. Lucie; his son, David Fiddis and his wife Carol of Loxahatchee, Florida; his sister, Lucile Thomas of London, England, UK and his grandchildren, Racquel Fiddis of Bowie, Maryland. Kevin-David Fiddis and Kirk-David Fiddis of Loxahatchee. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Hilda Sims, Muriel Fiddis, Leford Fiddis and Levi Fiddis.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018, at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Rd. Palm City, FL. The funeral service will be at 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow immediately in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
