Obituary of Aloysius Duncan

Aloysius E. Duncan. 85, of Stuart, died September 21, 2008 at Parkway Nursing and Rehabilitative Center, Stuart.

Born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, he had been a resident of Stuart for years coming from Des Plaines, Illinois.

During World War II he served in the 2nd Division of the U. S. Marine Corps. He was the recipient of a Purple Heart.

Prior to retirement he was an electrician with Peter Machinery in Chicago for over 35 years.

He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City, the 2nd Marine Division Association, the Loyal Order of Moose Stuart Lodge 1282 and the Stuart/Jensen B.P.O. Elks Lodge 1870.

Survivors include Daughters, Peggy Keating of Chicago, Illinois and Janice Manascalco of Palm City; sons, Thomas Duncan of Round Lake Beach, Illinois and Daniel J. Duncan of Des Plaines. Illinois; brothers James L. Duncan of Philadelphia, Mississippi and John Duncan of Dundee, Michigan; sister Zita Duncan of Bristol, CT and Jean Theil of Pella, Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Additional visitation and a Mass of Christian Burial will be in Des Plaines under the direction of the Oehler Funeral Home. There will be a Memorial Mass celebrated at a later date at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
