Alvin Joel Domroe, 92, died December 15, 2016 at Martin Medical Center. He was born September 2, 1924 in The Bronx, New York and moved to Stamford, Ct. upon his marriage to Edith (Sunny) Rotante. In 1987 the couple moved to Palm City, Fl. where they lived until Edith's death in 2009. Alvin graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a life member of both the American Legion and the Benevolent & Protective Order of te Elks and prior to retirement Alvin was employed by Air Lingus Airlines. During World War II he served in the 8th Air Force, US Army Air Corps. Part of this service was spent as a German POW after the B24 bomber on which he was a crew member was destroyed by enemy anti aircraft fire. Alvin and two others of the ten man crew remaining alive parachuted into German hands. Alvin leaves no immediate survivors and he requested no services be held. Interment will be in the crypt alongside Edith at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL
