Marhefka, A. Jean , 86, of Port St Lucie, FL passed peacefully to Christ surrounded by her loving daughters on December 8, 2020.
Jean was a sweet, gentle, humble and loving person and she will be greatly missed by her family and everyone that knew her. She was a beautiful sole who enjoyed the simple things in life like reading, doing puzzles, watching Netflix, playing Mahjong and eating out. She lived for 25 years in Kings Isle in Port St. Lucie where she enjoyed her friends and community. She loved her Parish, St Bernadette Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, at which she was an original member and a former Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, John J. (Jack) Marhefka with whom she will be laid to rest and her daughter Karen Marie Marhefka who passed away at age 16. Jean was also preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Marie Luckhaupt, her parents-in-law Florence Snelling and John Marhefka Sr , and all her siblings Helen, Agnes, Mary Margaret, Bob and Larry.
She is survived and forever loved by her children: Diane Marhefka Patz and her husband Richard Patz, Nancy Marhefka Manuel and her husband Clint Manuel and her 3 cherished grandchildren Mia Karen Patz, Cassidy Marie Patz and Faith Elizabeth Manuel. Also, her sisters-in-law Maureen, Debbie and Alice and her brother's-in-law Bob and Walter along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 17 th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 350 NW California Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34986. Burial will take place immediately following at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
