Obituary of Amelia Rivera

Amelia Rivera, 47, of Stuart, FL, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Born in Camden, New Jersey, she lived in Stuart for 16 years, coming from Camden.

She was a medical assistant for the Martin County Health Department.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Juan A. Rivera Jr; her son, Juan A. Rivera III and her daughter, Jasmine A. Rivera all of Stuart; her father, Virginio David; her siblings, Nancy Torres, Luz Maria Torres, Eugemo Torres, Lillian Nunez and her husband, Nelson, Sandra Mendez, Jose Mendez and his wife, Marilyn all of New Jersey; John Mendez and his wife, Diana and Tony and his wife, Carmen, all of Florida; her sister-in-law, Cynthia Torres and her husband, Luis; brothers-in-law, Julio A. Rivera and his wife, Melissa and Vincent A. Rivera and his wife, Mimi and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Petra Mendez.

SERVICES: Visitation will be at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM with a service at 7:00 PM. Entombment will be at 9:00 AM on Saturday, February 1 in the Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Palm City.
