What can I say about my Mom, Annette Handly. She was born in Rome Ga in 1938 to my Grand Parents James and Katie Hicks. She was part of a large family with six other children in the family. When she was in her early teens she married and had five of her eight children. Robert, Wayne, Doug, Billy and Jimmy. She then married her second husband and had her youngest three Sandy (Jeff), Deloris "Lucky" (Steve) and the baby Michael and a host of grandchildren.

Being a Mother meant everything to her. She then meet and married the love of her live Mr. Richard Handly. She said if he did not work out she was done with men. True to her word her final years she spent worrying about her kids and helping them as much as she possibly could. Over the years we lost track of how many grand kids, great grand kids, and great-great grand kid she had. But I bet if she had a day or two she could name them all.

She never used bad words as she called them. I can still here her saying " if you don't stop saying that I am going to whip your butt" or she would threaten to wash your mouth out with soap. She sometimes got up a 4 AM to have coffee with Jimmy and then Sandy. She liked to gossip but would swear she never said a bad word about anyone. She really loved getting phone calls from her kids they made her day.

She missed family that passed before her and could not wait to see them but she hated leaving us behind. I can't wait to see them all. Most of all My Mom. She once told me that she thought GOD had forgotten her. Well I guess not
