Antoinette "Toni" Letourneau, 94, of Stuart, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2019 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Hay-Madeira House, Stuart, FL with her daughter by her side.
Born in Cobalt, Ontario, Canada, she had been a resident of Stuart for 27 years coming from Coventry, Rhode Island.
Prior to retiring she had been a seamstress for many years in Pawtucket RI. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City, FL, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Women's Guild. Toni had a beautiful soprano voice, could yodel, played guitar and piano and enjoyed entertaining. In her retirement years, she enjoyed many activities including volunteering, playing bunco with her friends, and water aerobics which she insisted contributed to her longevity.
Survivors include her children, Ronald Letourneau of Henderson, NV and Joanne Ringe and her husband Ron of Palm City, FL; her brother, Maurice Bernier and his wife Irene of Adamsville, TN; her sister Joan Carrier and her husband, Paul of New Bedford, MA; her sister-in-law Cecile Letourneau of Cumberland, RI; 7 grandchildren, Amy Charpentier, Heidi Edwards, Diana Craik, Kenneth Riggan, Krystal Nelson, Maria Altfilish and Roger Letourneau; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Emma (Shank) Bernier, her husband, Roger J. Letourneau, a daughter Jacqueline Smith, and brothers Marius Bernier, Norman Bernier, Clement Bernier, Dominateur "Eddie" Bernier, Theodore Bernier and Raymond Bernier.
For those who wish, contributions may be made in her memory to Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart FL.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
