Devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Arlene Carol Banasiak, passed away on April 3, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice surrounded by her family.

Arlene was born in Newark, NJ. She lived most of her life in Clark, NJ.

She graduated from Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth, NJ where she had success in basketball. She was a Dental Assistant for many years in Clark, NJ

She met her husband Bob Banasiak, in 1965 on a double date and fell in love. She raised two children, Christine and Rob, and was involved in all of their activities from theater to baseball. She was always helping and cheering on her children and their friends.

After the children were raised, Arlene and Bob moved to Palm City, FL "Their Happy Place". Her favorite memories were spent with family in The Bahamas, The Florida Keys and any casino she could find.

She was an active member of The Woman's Club of Stuart filling many roles such as Fashion Show chair, Trustee Board Member and VP for Membership. She was cites as Volunteer of the Week by the Stuart News for her activities.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Banasiak of Palm City, FL; daughter Christine B. Grosso and son-in-law Joseph D. Grosso, granddaughter Jayci Grosso, grandson Jackson Grosso of Stuart, FL; son Robert F. Banasiak, daughter-in-law Julie V. Banasiak, grandson Brady Banasiak, granddaughter Brooke Banasiak of Jensen Beach, FL; sister Patricia Roman of Clark, NJ nieces Kim Hunt and Elaine Roman; brother-in-law Steven Banasiak, sister-in-law Patricia Banasiak of Rahway, NJ, niece Michelle McGrath and nephew Steven Banasiak. She also leaves behind her cherished friend Rose Marie Saraco of Colonia, NJ. She is predeceased by her father and mother Frank and Eleanor Kanauch; her brother-in-law Robert Roman and brother-in-law Donald Banasiak.

Visitation will be at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City on Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Thursday, April 7th, 2016 at 10:00am followed with entombment in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum in Palm City
