Obituary of Arvie Wilkes

Arvie G. Wilkes, 95, of Indiantown, FL, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Hay- Madeira House, Stuart, FL.

Born in Selmer, TN, he had been a resident of Indiantown, FL for 57 years coming from Tennessee.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy Air Corp.

Before retiring he had been the owner and operator of Wilkes Citgo in Indiantown.

He was a member of the Family Worship Center and the Raymond E. Darling VFW Post 6023, both in Indiantown and he was a 32 Mason and a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge #163 F&AM, Stuart, FL.

Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Lawrence; his sons, Terry Neal Wilkes Sr. and his wife Donna and Darrell Frank Wilkes Sr. and his wife Yvonne all of Indiantown; his grandchildren, Terry Neal Wilkes Jr., and Tera Riva both of Indiantown, Darrell Frank Wilkes Jr of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Kerr of Stuart and Christopher Kerr of Port St. Lucie, FL and seven great grandchildren, Ty Riva, Savannah Wilkes, Skye Wilkes, Sierra Wilkes, Darrell Wilkes III, Brooklynn Kerr and Teran Kerr.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL. His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Family Worship Center with Masonic Rites and Military Honors provided by the US Navy. Interment will be in Port Mayaca Memorial Gardens on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
