Obituary

Audrey Sandra "Sandy" Wolfin passed away on June 7, 2022, in Stuart, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her three daughters, their husbands, and her four grandchildren who made the entirety of her world.

Sandy was born on June 17, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she spent her childhood. She graduated high school at the impressive age of 16. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania. Sandy married and had three girls. Sandy's first husband passed away when their children were young. Despite immense loss and challenge, Sandy was a determined and devoted mother who raised three daughters on her own while building a career as a successful administrator, accountant, and real estate developer.

After raising her daughters, Sandy remarried and lived between New York, South Florida, Vermont, and places in between for nearly 40 years. Sandy enjoyed golf, playing cards, and many other hobbies. Sandy was also an avid traveler but her favorite destinations were her daughters' and grandchildren's homes whether they be in the states or across the pond.

She remained a constant support in the lives of her family and friends. Sandy was always vivacious and ready to tell a good story or be a confidant no matter where she was - at her daily coffee place, seeing a Broadway play, attending a black tie affair, or even caring for her newborn grandchildren.

A friend to people from all walks of life, she also had a generous heart, often helping friends, family, and strangers in their times of need. Countless times, she offered to give the shirt off her back, literally and figuratively. Sandy found solace and comfort in her faith and connection to God, especially during the pandemic years.

Sandy will be forever missed, deeply loved, and remembered; survived by her three daughters and their husbands, four grandchildren, and many, many friends who were family.

The immediate family is holding a private Catholic mass in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kamp Dovetail, a volunteer-run summer camp for children with disabilities in Ohio and an organization near and dear to her heart.

Checks can be made payable to S.A.T.H-Kamp Dovetail; c/o Linda Allen; 5350 W. New Market Road; Hillsboro, Ohio 45133 or via http://www.kampdovetail.com/support/donate.asp . The donation can be made in loving memory of Sandy Wolfin, granny of campers Matthew and Cooper Lewis.
