Barbara Mary Brinley (82) of Palm City, FL beloved spouse of Robert passed away on November 4, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jersey City, NJ, on October 24, 1937. She lived in Avenel, NJ before retiring to Florida. She leaves behind her children: Catherine Brown of Forked River, NJ, Scott and Lorraine Brinley of Jackson, NJ, and Linda Brinley-McGlynn of Barnegat, NJ. Her grandchildren were her delight: Charlene and Chelsea Brown of Forked River, NJ, Katelin and Michael Hess of Bamber Lakes, NJ, Lisanne Brown of Philadelphia, PA, Glen and Leah Brinley of Jackson, NJ, Julia and Mark McGuire of Manahawkin, NJ, and Olivia McGlynn of Forked River. She was also blessed with amazing great grandchildren, Connor and Claire Hess.
Barbara was an active parishioner of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Avenel, NJ and Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City, FL. where she was a Eucharistic Minister and participated in Bible studies. She volunteered at the Pregnancy Care Center in Stuart FL. Barbara was an incredibly talented watercolor artist. Some paintings were commissioned and many can be found throughout her home and her families' homes. She will surely be missed by her family and friends. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her company. She was a good listener and a wonderful friend.
Friends are invited to gather at Forest Hills Funeral Home 2001 SW Murphy Road Palm City on Sunday November 10 from 1 P.M. until 4 P.M. with a Vigil service to be held at 1:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday November 11 at 10 A.M. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City with graveside committal to be held immediately following mass at Forest Hills Memorial Park Palm City.
