Obituary of Barbara Clair
Barbara Ann Doherty Clair, 81, of Palm City, FL, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, surrounded by her family.
Born in New York City and raised in Riverdale, New York, Barbara moved to Martin County in 1971 with her husband and family.
In addition to being an excellent mother and grandmother, Barbara was co-founder of Gateway Homes of Martin County, a residential home construction company.
Barbara was preceded in death by her eldest daughter Geralyn Birnbaum and her former husband Edward Clair, Sr. Barbara is survived by her daughters Julia Clair and Kathleen McCullum, her son, Edward Clair, Jr and her grandchildren Gabriel Feldman, Shelby Birnbaum, Rayna Birnbaum, Frank Clair, Aliya Birnbaum, Ottie McCullum IV and Alyson Clair.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on November 28, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org in Barbara's memory.
