Obituary of Barbara Murphy

Barbara M. Murphy, 102, of Sebastian, formerly of Hobe Sound, passed away May 11, 2015. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and had been a resident of Florida since 1974, living in Hobe Sound until 2004, then moving to Sebastian. She retired after working 30 years as a clerk for Bell of Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and former member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, and a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She also was a former member of Pearl's Fun follies in Hobe Sound, and was known to entertain at many senior organizations between Vero Beach and Miami.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Murphy and his wife, Jo-Ann of Warrington, PA; daughter, Barbara Ann Aeillo of San Diego, CA; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Eugene J. Murphy; sisters, Carmella Rulon and Mildren Spellona, granddaughter, Barbara Jeanne McKenna and Niece, Kathleen Spellona.

Visitation: 9:15AM - 10:15AM, Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00AM, Thursday, May 14, 2015 at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound.

Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
