Barbara Schachter, 85, Palm City, Florida, passed away on September 17, 2019 peacefully at her home.

Born in Oceanside, New York she had been a resident of Palm City for 29 years coming from Long Island, NY.

Before retiring she was a travel agent.  She was an avid bridge player and was the former president of a VFW Post Auxiliary on Long Island.

Survivors include her husband, Marti Schachter of Palm City; her children, Glenn Schachter and his wife Denise of New Milford, NJ, Kenneth Sasloff and his wife, Genie of Rancho Mirage, CA, Patti Schachter of Niskayuna, NY, Scott Schachter and his wife Christine of Wantagh, NY, Robert Schachter of New York, New York and Mark Schachter and his wife Eva of Port St. Lucie, FL; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her brother Lloyd Karpf

Services will be at 10:30 AM on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Forest Hills Palm City Chapel, Palm City.  Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
