Beniamino (Ben) Inserra, 86, of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Bellmore, NY, passed away on July 17, 2023 after a brief illness.

He served in the United States Army as a Lieutenant from 1958-1960. He was employed as a Civil Engineer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years including as a past Grand Knight.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 5, 1937, son of the late Rosario and Sylvia Inserra. He is survived by his son Paul Inserra. He was preceded in death by two sons Peter and Mark Inserra.

During his years as an engineer in the construction business he was in charge of building many large facilities ranging from new wing on a hospital, to large factories that made everything from soup to beer. His work took him throughout the US and Mexico. He was very involved with various charitable organizations including Cape Cares, Light of the World, Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Church. He was also inducted as a member of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25th from 5 to 8 p.m. and a Funeral Mass on July 26th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 930 SW Tunis Avenue, Port St. Lucie, FL 34990
