Benito Torres, 83, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie.
Born in Puerto Rico, he moved to Port St. Lucie in 1987 from Queens, NY.
Prior to retirement he owned a surgical instrument repair company in New York and Florida.
He was a member of the Roman Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Torres of Port St. Lucie and one grandson.
He was preceded in death b his son, Hector Torres.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, Inc., 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
Services: Graveside services and inurnment will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City. A guest registry may be signed at www.foresthillsfunerals.com
