Bernadette ("Bernie") Raiola, 67, died August 16, 2024 in Palm City, Florida.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bill Raiola; her oldest son Billy (Lauren) Raiola of Jupiter, FL; her youngest son Nick (Marell) Raiola of Stuart, FL; brother, Richie (Bernadette) Novak of Yonkers, NY; sister, Beverly (Lou) Liberatori of Ossining, NY; her three grandchildren, William, Annabelle, and Reece; and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Algrid and Sally Novak, and brother Raymond Novak.
Bernie was born in Yonkers, NY and relocated to Florida with her husband in 1991. It was in Clewiston, Florida where she raised her two boys and had her most important role, "Mom".Bill and Bernie then moved to Palm City, Florida in 2008. Bernie was a committed wife, mother and grandmother, a devoted member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and an avid animal lover.
Bernie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1985 and battled the disease for many years. Despite her diagnosis, she remained steadfast in her approach to life. Whether it was watching her grandson play travel baseball, going to Florida Panthers games, or vacationing to Disney with family, she lived her life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday August 23, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
