Obituary

Bernard Blonder, 96, of Stuart Florida, passed away on February 10, 2018 at his residence.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he had been a resident of Martin County for 5 years coming from Coral Springs, FL.

He was a career member of the U.S. Air Force, serving 23 years.  He served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. While serving during World War II he had been a POW. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the U.S Postal Service of 10 years.

Survivors include his sons, Harvey Blonder and his wife Marie of Homestead, Florida, Arnold Blonder and his wife, Betty of Canton, Georgia and Charles Blonder of South Florida; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Blonder in 2011.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.  Interment will follow at 12:45 PM in South Florida VA National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the honor guard from Patrick Air Force Base.
