Beverly Ruth Swingle Crane, 83, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on October 19th, 2021 after bravely battling pancreatic cancer.
Beverly was born in Troy, NY on June 12, 1938 to Oral James and Ruth Swingle. She was raised in Albany, NY and graduated from Albany High School. Beverly attended Bucknell University, where she was a member of the Tri Delta sorority and graduated in 1960 with a BA in Psychology.
Beverly married Lawrence William Crane, III on June 10th, 1961
She raised her family in Madison, CT where she was a real estate agent for many years. She then moved to Palm City, Florida where she resided for the last 31 years.
Beverly always looked forward to playing golf and bridge with her many friends at the Evergreen Club Community. She was an avid reader and liked true crime tv, Judge Judy and Jeopardy. She enjoyed taking her daily long walks. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, brothers and other extended family.
Beverly is survived by her loving children, Lynda Crane Palmer (son in law Kenneth Palmer, MD) of Houston, TX, Kathleen Crane Rose of Granby, CO and Lawrence Crane, IV of Elkins, WV.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jake Palmer of Austin, TX, Max Palmer of Houston, TX, Kara McQuillan of Fort Washington, PA, Ariel Crane of Charleston, WV and her great- grandchildren, Kaya and Sierra Secouler of Fort Washington, PA. She is also survived by her three brothers, David Swingle of Harrisonburg, VA, Roger Swingle and Richard Swingle, both of Grand Junction, CO
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lawrence William Crane, III In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Martin County Public Library.
