Bonnie Jean Nelson, (81), was born in Minnesota on December 27, 1940. She was the youngest child born of family of 4.

Her parents were Ethel Hendrix and Herbert Laatsch. She moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 9.  She did very well in high school and graduated at the age of 16.  At the age of 17, she worked at Robert Morgan Dance Studio. There she met her future husband David Hugo Nelson.

They were married May 24 ^th , 1960. Marguerita Elizabeth was born August 19, 1961 and David Hugo Nelson, Jr. was born April 8, 1964. Jennifer Shawn Nelson was born July 29, 1957 and joined the family at age 16. Bonnie also had 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Bonnie started her artistic journey in ceramics and later turned to oil paintings and pastels.  She became very good at it! Her art won several local art contests. Bonnie was encouraged to create many beautiful and unusual pictures and ceramics.

We all have loved her art and they are as special as she was.
