Obituary of Bonnie Sawyers

Bonnie Turner Sawyers, 86, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at the Masonic Home.

Daughter of the late Archie and Carrie Turner, preceded in death by beloved husband Marvin Sawyers; sisters, Pauline and Frances; brothers, Virgil and Ballard.

Survived by sister Ruth Scott of Coatesville, Indiana; daughter, Beverly Cochran (David) of San Francisco, California; sons, Mel Sawyers (Melissa) of Evans, Georgia, Richard Sawyers (Michele) of Manchester, Connecticut; grandchildren, Stephen Garrett (Shannon) and Amanda Sawyers; a step granddaughter and 4 step grandsons, 2 great grandchildren, Meghan and Landon and 5 step great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Stuart, Florida and the Unity Chapter #37 of the Order of the Eastern Star, Aquarius Temple #138 of the Daughters of the Nile, Jupiter, Florida.

She moved to Riviera Beach, Florida in 1960 and before settling in Stuart also lived in Jensen Beach. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother who will be greatly missed by all. Her smile could light up a room and is now lighting up Heaven.

Visitation: 11:00AM - 12:00PM, Friday, February 27, 2015, at Forest Hills Funeral Home.

There will be a service at Noon, on Friday, February 27, 2015, at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, Florida with Pastor David Albers of the Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
