IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Camille
Geoghegan
May 12, 1947 – November 1, 2025
Camille Geoghegan, 78, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Saturday, November 1st, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Joseph and Zina Grasso on May 12, 1947, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Camille went on to have one child, Marlene — her greatest love.
Camille married the late Frank Geoghegan in 1977. She, Frank, and her daughter Marlene lived in West Bridgewater, MA, and summered in Plymouth, MA, and on Cape Cod. They enjoyed camping, boating, and traveling with their best friends, the Reillys. They relocated to Stuart, Florida, in 1985 but continued to enjoy their summers in Plymouth, MA, and later in Old Orchard Beach, ME. An article was written about them in the Stuart News titled "The Younger Snowbirds."
Camille always had a love for teaching. It began at a young age when her family from Italy moved to the States and she taught them English. That dream became a reality when she became a pre-K teacher at Port Salerno Elementary in Stuart, FL. She loved her job and was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students.
After she retired, she moved to Ocala, Florida, with her partner, Curtis Green, to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. There she enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and going to the movies.
Camille is survived by her daughter, Marlene McLeod, and son-in-law, Brian Jordan; her grandchildren, Danielle and Bradley Jordan; her partner, Curtis Green; and her brothers, Sal (Maria) Grasso, Dominic (Pina) Grasso, and Joseph (Diane) Grasso, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews.
Her celebration of life will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Memorial Park on November 12th at 10 a.m.
