Obituary of Carey Jackson

Carey Webster Jackson, 48, of Palm City, Florida, lost his courageous battle with cancer on June 8, 2009 at Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart, FL. A native of Atlanta, GA, Carey attended Heiskell School and Mount Vernon Academy. He had been an Eagle Scout. He received an AA degree from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Georgia. In 1986 he married Jacki Garlington of Stuart, FL. The family moved to Palm City in 1997 to continue his work in the telecommunications field. Carey was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Stuart. He was a devoted and loving husband and father,

Survivors include his wife, Jacki Garlington Jackson; sons, Clayton Webster Jackson and Richard Walker Jackson and a daughter Victoria Margaret Jackson all of Palm City; a sister Margaret Jackson Reynolds of Atlanta and a brother Thomas Walker Jackson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Katherine Garlington of Stuart, FL; brothers-in-law Bill Garlington of Oviedo, FL, Bob Garlington of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Victoria Garlington Lott of Hoschton, GA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members that miss him sorely.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lamar C. Jackson Jr. and Eleanor Walker Jackson and a brother Lamar C. Jackson III.

There will be a Service at 1:00 PM on Sat., June 13, 2009 at First United Methodist Church, Stuart, Florida with the Reverend Phillip Short officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
