Obituary of Carolyn Kelly
Carolyn Pennock Kelly, 92, of Palm City, Florida, died April 27, 2012 at Abingdon at Tradition, Port St. Lucie, FL.
Born in Utica, New York, she had been a resident of Palm City for 26 years, coming from New Hartford, New York.
During World War II she volunteered with the Red Cross in Europe.
Before retiring she was a high school and college math teacher. She received her BA from Wells College, Aurora, New York and her MA from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. She was active with many non-profit organizations in the Utica area and was a published author.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Forrest Robinson Kelly; a daughter, Caryl Kelly Love of Port St. Lucie; sons, Clarke Sparkman Kelly of Silver Spring, Maryland and Forrest Robinson "Robin" Kelly Jr. of Amarillo, Texas and four grandchildren.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM on May 1, 2012 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
