Cemera A. Clancy entered into eternal rest on Friday. December 4, 2020 at St. Lucie Medical Center.
A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, her and her husband John lived in Las Vegas, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, before settling to Port St. Lucie in 1987.
Cemera held several jobs, but was most proud of her job as a Media Specialist at Floresta Elementary, where she had many dear friends, and was affectionately called by Mrs C, by hundreds of students who passed thru those hallways. She was Paraprofessional of the year 2 years in a row, and loved her job, and was so loved and respected by so many. She would occasionally have past students , who'd long graduated come to visit, as she was an unforgettable loving teacher, and friend. She raised great amounts of money through the years for the children, by chairing Bowling for Kids Sake every year of employment at Floresta
She retired at age 80, and enjoyed retirement, and her friends visits, outings, and her family.
She was blessed with 3 Grandchildren, Kristie (Thomas), Michael and Jacob. Cemera and John took Kris & Michael in a great adventure up the East Coast of the US, which was an excellent trip none of us forgot.
She loved hosting holiday parties, cooking and baking delicious Greek pastries, and pretty much everything was a guaranteed delicious meal.
She taught piano lesson in New York to the neighborhood children, played piano and loved sharing that gift with others. She had a beautiful voice, sang at many friends weddings, and her beloved church choir.
Cemera was a dedicated member of Saint James Orthodox church in Port Saint Lucie, having many friends, and even through Covid, she with her walker and oxygen went to church as often as her health allowed. She attended church the last Sunday before her unfortunate passing. She was very dedicated to her beloved church, and never missed a chance to go.
Cemera was a woman who was not afraid to speak her mind, had an opinion, and told you with love. She adored her family with everything in her. She loved family dinners , get togethers and just watching the action and being surrounded by her family and many many dear friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine DeGraffenreid and her husband Jim of Port Saint Lucie. Three grandchildren, Kristie Sargent (Thomas), Michael Allen and Jake DeGraffenreid
She also has 3 beautiful Great Gradchildren , of whom she absolutely adored. Mallorie, Isabell and Jordan Sargent. She also has several neices and nephews.
Cemera is predeceased in death by her husband John of 58 years, and her dear son John Jr., age 25.
