Obituary of Charles Bono Sr.
Charles J. Bono Sr., 88, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce, FL. He was born in Detroit, MI he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for over 30 years coming from Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Before retiring, he had been a expert in men's attire. He had owned Bono Shoes and had worked at Sachs 5th Avenue and the Village Bootery, Burdines and Macys. He had been the personal shopper for Jackie Gleason.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Bono and his son, Charles J. Bono Jr., both of Port St. Lucie. He was preceded in death by 12 brothers.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on December 18, 2014 with a prayer service at 2:00 PM at the Forest Hulls Funeral Home, Palm City. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
