Charles Robert Fedak October 29, 1936 — May 12, 2022
Charles Robert Fedak (Bob) was taken to Heaven on May 12, 2022 in Jensen Beach, Florida.Bob began life 85 years ago in Rahway, New Jersey. There will be a memorial service to honor his incredible life, well lived, at Redeemer Lutheran Church on May 19th at 11 am, at 2450 SE

Bob made a difference in his walk through life — in his General Motors engineering career, with his friends and especially with his family. Besides
being the best mentor, role model and playmate for his five grandchildren, he became every child's best friend he
encountered. Bob never lost the delightful little boy inside. This gentle man and gentleman is survived by his loving wife, Sonia, of 62 years.
They met 70 years ago when they were in their teens. What they shared together was a beautiful marriage blessed with a life that
was full of mutual respect, similar values, travel, faith in God and a total trust and love for one another.
Bob Fedak is also survived by his

Bob Fedak enjoyed a distinguished 40 year career with General Motors after serving his country in the United States Air Force as an officer. He was persistent as he rose through the ranks never giving up on any project. He was responsible for developing new robotic assembly technologies including robotic windshields, robotic body seals, robotic wheel alignment systems, and robotic laser welding. His group set in place the very first
robot in the Linden New Jersey automotive plant, which now is on display at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC. He led his
group with passionate optimism and accomplished what many said could not be done. He is credited with making it possible to
make the production of the Corvette automated. He founded and was the first president of an age-group swim
team, the Oakland Live Y'ers in Rochester Hills, Michigan. This team consistently qualified for the National meets. Bob was Vice President of the Heart of the Hills Swim Club, Rochester Hills, Michigan. He was the founder and CEO of Engineering Alliances,
Inc. and consulted for Callaway Motors. His passionate efforts in the Hutchinson Island beach
restoration will be enjoyed by many. Bob, together with his "Mermaid" Sonia was an enthusiastic participant in everything
aquatic, swimming lots and lots of laps in the pool. Even though he is not with us physically, his charisma, his
sense of humor, his caring nature, his ability to fix just about anything and his love will be with us and cherished forever.
