Obituary

Charles E. Koch, 84, of Port St. Lucie, passed away September 6, 2019 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce.  He was born in Culver City, California, and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 4 years, having relocated from Palm City where he had lived from 1982 - 2015.  He was a former Navy Pilot in the United States Navy, and was also a shop school teacher in the Martin County School System before retirement.  He was a founding member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Martin County Amateur Radio Club.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jean Koch of Port St. Lucie; sons, Edward Koch and his wife Mary of Dayton, OH and Glenn Heintzelman of Port St. Lucie; daughter, Kathi Heintzelman of Youngstown, OH; brother, Michael Koch and his wife Madonna of Indian Rocks Beach; sister Babs Rousseau of Tallahassee; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and numerous loving nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Capt. John V. (USN Ret) and Barbara H. Koch.

A Memorial Mass will be at a later date in November 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.
