Obituary of Charles Schwab
Dr. Charles A. Schwab D.C., 76, of Palm City, died December 16, 2006 at the Treasure Coast Hospices Residence, Stuart, Florida.
Born in Port Huron, Michigan, he had been a resident of Palm City and Stuart for 22 years coming from Port Huron.
Before retiring he had been a Chiropractic Physician and Internist for 30 years in Port Huron and 12 years in Stuart.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City, the Knights of Columbus Martin County Council, the St. Lucie River Power Squadron, the Florida Chiropractic Association, the Michigan Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association. He was a past board member of the YMCA, Stuart, co-founder of the St. Clair County (Michigan) Rescue Skin Diving Team, the team doctor for St. Stephens High School and the St. Clair County Community College all in Port Huron. He is honored in the Port Huron Sports Hall of Fame, for community support of team swimming.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Frances Schwab of Palm City; sons Eric A. Scwab of Coconut Grove, Florida, Mark A. Schwab of Parkland, FL and Gregg A. Schwab of Royal Oak, Michigan; daughters, Laurie A. Schwab-Novak of Jensen Beach, Lisa A, Schwab of Boca Raton, and Tina M. Brodersen of Parrish, FL, a brother Dr. John Schwab of Point Edward, Ontario, Canada; 5 grandchildren and 2 foster grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Omar and Gayralda Schwab and sisters, Rosemarie Courtney, Frances Koranda and Dorothy Varty.
SERVICES: Visitation will be December 19, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Vigil Prayer Service at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, December 20 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
