Obituary of Charletta Jackson

Charletta J. Jackson, 86, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, surrounded by loving family, at her daughter's home in Port St. Lucie.

Born in Hudson, Indiana, Charletta had lived in Port St. Lucie for 24 years coming from West Palm Beach, FL. She moved to Florida from Hudson.

Before retiring she was proof reader for the Palm Beach Post for 25 years. She was a member of the Genesis Church of Port St Lucie.

Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Jo Lang and her husband Neil, of Ocala, FL, Connie Lou Proxmire and her husband John, of Port St. Lucie; a son Arthur B. Jackson and his wife Kelly, of North Palm Beach, FL; her brother, Larry Rowe and his wife Toni of Florida; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell B. Jackson, in 2001, her daughter Mona Lu Jackson; a granddaughter, Dawn Marie Lang; a grandson, Trey Jackson, and her sisters, Ruth Eelman and Wava White.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on October 18, 2014 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL with a funeral service at 1:00 PM followed by entombment in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Palm City.
