Christopher Dumont of Port Saint Lucie, FL, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning on March 14th, 2021 at the age of 43.

Chris, or Christopher as his mother always called him, was born on July 14, 1977 in Nashua, NH to Maurice Dumont and Lise Cook.  He was the oldest of three, being the big brother to his two sisters Jaime and Julie, known as "Dumont's little sisters".

Growing up he had a love for soccer and wrestling and both were a very important part of his teenage years.  He was a 1996 graduate from Nashua Senior High School where he formed many great lifelong friendships.

In 1998, Chris enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, which shaped him into the man he was and instilled in him the core values in which he lived his life by.  He was a Marine through and through, once a Marine always a Marine.  He was actively involved with his brothers, veterans and the Wounded Warrior Project until the day he was taken from us.  He was very proud to be a Marine.

Chris's journey in life took him to Port Saint Lucie, FL in 2010 where he began making new lifelong friendships and touching people's lives.  He spent many years managing Cobb's Landing where he met the love of his life, Tara Post.  His last year and a half of his life was spent working at Southern Eagle Distributing, Inc where he became part of a new family.

Chris loved life and lived it to the fullest.  For those that knew him, they knew he was witty, sarcastic, a prankster, total ball buster and full of laughter.  He would give you the shirt off his back and wanted the best for everyone that entered his life.  If you were Chris's friend then you lived up to his standards.  He took pride in giving his backyard a complete makeover and it was one of his favorite places to be.  He loved to travel to places new and old whether it was to see close friends or to celebrate a new journey in someone's life.  Chris loved his sunrises and sunsets and often captured many beautiful photos of them and shared them for all to see.

So many hearts are shattered from his passing but he would want us to celebrate his life and not mourn it.  He would be telling all of us to move forward and live life as that's what he did everyday.

Chris leaves behind his father, Maurice Dumont, his mother Lise and step-father William Cook;  his two sisters, Jaime Smith and Julie Forrest.  Referred to as "Funcle", he leaves behind many nephews, Dylan, Owen, Brady, Dominic and his only niece Gabby.  Chris also leaves behind the most important part of his life, his girlfriend Tara Post and her two daughters, Callie and Layla.

A full military memorial service will be held at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL at 3:00 pm sharp on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021.  We welcome anyone who knew Chris to attend and arrive 15 minutes prior and line up in lane 5.
