IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher Lee
Philips
September 7, 1980 – May 22, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Lee Philips, who departed this life on May 22, 2025, at the age of 44. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 7, 1980, Christopher brought immense joy, warmth, and light to everyone who knew him.
In 1991, Christopher relocated with his parents to Florida, where he quickly adjusted and built lifelong friendships at Wellington Landings Middle School. Guided by his deep sense of service and protection, Christopher found his calling in the field of private security. Christopher's dedication, leadership, and entrepreneurial drive later led him to co-found a bail bondsman company, providing support and hope to individuals and families during some of their most challenging moments.
Christopher was a devoted son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. His infectious laugh, generous heart, and unwavering optimism left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Above all, he found his greatest joy in being a father to his beloved son, Jaiden Christopher Philips, whom he adored and proudly raised.
Affectionately known as "Congo", a nickname inspired by a character from a childhood movie, Christopher was known for his playful spirit—often beating his chest in jest—and for lighting up every room with his humor and presence. He was an avid video game enthusiast, a loyal companion, and someone who never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
Christopher's life was also beautifully marked by the relationships he nurtured. Among the most special was his bond with Paul Gross, a friend he met in middle school who quickly became a brother from another mother. Their friendship was one of deep loyalty, shared laughter, and unwavering support. Paul stood by Christopher through every chapter of his life, and his presence has been a true gift to our family, especially during this time of remembrance.
Though we feel the deep weight of this loss, we find comfort in knowing that Christopher is now reunited with his beloved father, Chester Antoine, and his cherished grandparents who went before him. We trust their loving arms have joyfully welcomed him home.
He is survived by his mother, Imore Philips; his cherished son, Jaiden Christopher Philips; his siblings, Sherlan, Valda, Dex, and Shekia; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends and colleagues who will deeply mourn his passing and forever celebrate his life.
Christopher's life was a beautiful reflection of love, resilience, and loyalty. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
