Obituary of Constance Walcheski
Constance M. Walcheski, 75, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Treasure Coast Hospices in Stuart.
Born in Detroit, MI, she has resided in Stuart since 1982 coming from Livonia, MI.
She was a Registered Nurse and retired from Martin Memorial Medical Center as a charge nurse after 15 years of employment. She received her Bachelors degree in Nursing from Detroit Mercy College.
She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart. She was president of the Catholic Council of Women; an extraordinary minister, C. C. D. teacher; Eucharistic minister to the sick and volunteered at St. Joseph Catholic School.
She was a member of Treasure Coast Audubon Society.
She was a member of Red Hat Club, Lunch Bunch and active in St. Lucie Club Association.
She supported a foster child in Honduras.
Her hobbies included travel, the beach and the pool. She enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Joseph Walcheski of Stuart; sons, Paul Walcheski of Mount Ulla, NC; Bob Walcheski (Kelly) of Port St. Lucie; Don Walcheski (Kristen) of Big Rapids, MI; and Tom Walcheski (Jennifer) of Palatine, IL; three grandchildren, Timothy, Rachel and Matthew; brothers, Dr. Zacharia Mikros of Florida and Donald Mikros of Livonia, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, Inc., 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
Services: Visitation will be held 6 to 8 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2008 and 2-4 Pm and 6-8 PM Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM, Monday, January 7, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
