Obituary of Curt Havekotte

Curt J. Havekotte, 95, of Boca Raton, Florida, died August 16, 2011, at Stratford Court, Boca Raton.

Born in Millvale, Pennsylvania, he was a resident of Boca Raton for 5 years coming from Port St. Lucie. He came to Florida in 1981 from West Deptford, New Jersey.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Force, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant.

For the majority of his career, he was a mechanical engineer with Cooper-Bessemer in New York, New York. He was a past Commodore of the Coconut Point Yacht Club, Stuart.

Survivors include sons, John C Havekotte of Seattle, Washington and Paul L. Havekotte of Boca Raton; a brother, Robert O. Havekotte of Vero Beach, Florida and one grandson, J.J. Havekotte. He was preceded in death by his wife Ella B. Havekotte and a brother Walther L. Havekotte.

SERVICES: There will be a memorial service at 11:30 AM on August 27,2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel immediately followed by inurnment in Forest Hills Memorial Park with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force.
