Obituary of Daniel Chichura

Daniel Chichura, 88, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died, May 24, 2009 at The Wellington at Oklahoma City.

Born in Woodbine, New Jersey he had lived in Port St. Lucie from 1989 to 1996, coming from North Syracuse, New York. In 1996 he moved to Oklahoma City.

He had served in the U.S. Coast Guard for over 20 years. During the 1930's he work for the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Before retiring he had been a safety inspector for the Commercial Union Insurance Company in North Syracuse for 16 years.

He had been a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie and was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include daughters Margaret Anglin of Oklahoma City and MaryAnn Deming of Baldwinsville, New York; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Chichura in 1996

SERVICES: There will be a Graveside Service at 2:00 PM on May 29, 2009 at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City with military honors provided by the U.S. Coast Guard.
