In Loving Memory of David Jordahl.

David Andrew Jordahl passed away on March 20,2022 in Palm City, Florida, leaving behind a family deeply shaped by his love, steady presence, unforgettable spirit, and a collection of stories that somehow get funnier every year.

David found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He was born in 1947 Miami FL and had a life-long love of boating & fishing that was first developed at an early age during trips with his father Vernon into the wild Everglades and bicycling with school buddies over 10 miles to fish off the shores of Key Biscayne. Over the years he became an expert fisherman, “legendary" at the Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge for catching fish and lobster like no other. He found his joy and shared his passion with his family. David appreciated the wonder of astronomy, loved cats, fireworks and had a playful spirit that showed itself in many ways—including his memorable habit of cooking in the nude, a family story that continues to bring laughter, mild disbelief, and occasional vows to never enter the kitchen unannounced.

At the time of his passing, David was survived by his beloved wife Marilyn Jordahl; daughters Meredith Leigh (Ernie), Jessica Ann (Nick); grandchildren Sophia Isabella and Stephanie Alexis Clavero; sister Claire (Mika); brother John (Lori), niece Jackie and nephew Ben. David was preceded in death by parents Vernon A. and Elizabeth A. Jordahl; daughters Kristin Marie and Lauren Elizabeth Jordahl.

David was a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. He also reminded everyone that life is too short to take yourself too seriously —and apparently too short for aprons. “Off You Go” David.
