David R. Porteous, 75, of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away on October 11, 2018 at Martin Medical Center, Stuart, Florida.

Born in Ogdensburg, New York, he had been a resident of Jensen Beach for 30 years coming from Ogdensburg.

During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army.

Before retiring he had been a lineman for Niagara Mohawk Power.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Connie J. Porteous; his son Spencer Porteous and his wife, Summer of Vero Beach, Florida; his daughter, Laurie McCrory and her husband, Christopher of Stuart and his grandchildren, Loretta Porteous, Zach Dean, and Noah, Jacob and Jonah McCrory.  He was preceded in death by his brother John Porteous and sister Linda LaFlair.

There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Jensen Beach.
