David Reidy longtime resident of Stuart, Fl passed away peacefully on Feb 27 in Norwich, Conn with his partner Laurie Lautieri by his side.

David had been in the solar energy business for many years and had relocated to Connecticut in 2018 to work on a large scale solar initiative to convert Block Island RI to full solar dependency. David was the first licensed solar contractor in the state of Florida. His business thrived under David's tutelage.

David was an excellent businessman whose care for his clients spoke volumes.

David, an avid golfer, enjoyed playing courses throughout Florida, New England and even Ireland. He was a fierce competitor* his wit and humor made him a pleasure to be around.  David had a true joy for life. He approached each day with humility and his warm spirit and generosity will be greatly missed.

David leaves behind two sons. David and his wife Destiny and newborn grandchild Raven Reidy of Stuart, Fl and younger son Andrew Reidy of Port St Lucie, Fl. In addition, David leaves his mother Marie Chiappinelli Johnson and stepfather Richard Johnson of Palm City, Fl, his sister Deirdre Clark, husband Jeff and daughter Juliana of Woodside, Ca.

David will be sorely missed by Molly a 1.5 year old golden doodle who loved David immensely and would sit and play with him for hours.  David also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Florida, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Montana, and California. David was predeceased by his father David Reidy.

David was a man of God and worshiped at Revelation Church Bozrah, Connecticut.

There will be a visitation/celebration of David's life from 3-5 PM Monday March 7 and prayer service/internment will be at 11AM Tuesday March 8 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park 2100 Murphy Road . Palm City, FL.
