Obituary of David Squires

David W. Squires, 89, of Palm City, passed away peacefully in his home with family at his side, February 25, 2015. He was a proud Navy veteran of WWII, who shared his passion of air and sea with his family and friends. He was a true renaissance man who was loved, admired and respected by all who knew him. As many have stated, "He was a legend in our time".

He is survived by his sons, David W. Squires Jr. of Bondville, VT and Peter W. Squires of Port St. Lucie; daughter, Catherine S. Benson of Novato, CA and Deborah M. Keidel of Columbus, OH; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; brothers, Daniel T. Squires of Palm City and John M. Squires of Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Virginia S. Squires in October of 2014, and sister, Suzanne R. Radcliff.

Memorial Service: 1:00PM, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.
