Obituary of David Webb
David E. Webb, 84, of Palm City, FL, died March 3, 2009 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Hay-Madeira House, Stuart, FL.
Born in Glens Falls, NY, he had lived in Palm City for 13 years coming from Great Neck, Long Island, New York.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army.
Before retiring he was an executive with Bank Melli Iran in New York City for 20 years.
He was of the Methodist Faith
He was a member of the American Orchid Society and the Treasure Coast Orchid Society.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Peggy Webb of Palm City, a son David Webb Jr.; a sister, Cora Ketchum of Saratoga Springs, NY and 2 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother Walter Webb and a sister Janet Lauder.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on March 6, 2009 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel. There will be a service at 2:00 PM on March 7, 2009 with Rev. Phillip Short, of the First United Methodist Church, Stuart, officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, with military honors, provided by the U.S. Army.
