Obituary of Dennis Rinaldi
Dennis Raymond Rinaldi DDS, 80, of Palm City, FL, died peacefully Tuesday night surrounded by his loving family at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Hay-Madeira House, Stuart, FL. Born to the late Urbano and Brandamond Rinaldi in Cleveland, Ohio,
He received his college and doctorate degrees from Case Western Reserve University. He then moved to Florida for his post graduate residency and settled in the Stuart area with his late wife Lindi. He had a dental practice in Jensen Beach for over 35 years where he was highly respected. His son, Dennis Robert Rinaldi Jr DMD joined his practice before his retirement continuing the family legacy.
A loving father and grandfather, he is survived by his children, Dr. Dennis R. Rinaldi Jr. and his wife Debbie of Palm City, Tina Rinaldi of Palm City, William Rinaldi and his wife Diama of Lake Villa, IL and Kathy Rinaldi-Stunkel and her husband Brad Stunkel of Palm Beach Gardens and his five grandsons, Dennis Rinaldi III, Michael Rinaldi, Duke Stunkel Jr, Rocco Rinaldi and Dominic Rinaldi. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years in 2004, Carolyn Alice "Lindi" Rinaldi.
Dennis was an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City. In addition to many year of community service, member of the Rotary Club and board Director at Stuart National Bank, Dennis was committed to his beloved family. Dennis was a tremendous athlete who exceled in many sports. His passion was baseball; he played semi-pro baseball before entering dental school. He shared that love and passion for sports with his children and grandchildren. Dennis was a consistent spectator at numerous school events, sporting events, award ceremonies. Together with his wife Lindi, Dennis supported and cheered for countless tennis, baseball, softball, basketball, football events for more than four decades.
He was very active in coaching sports and was extremely instrumental in coaching his daughter Kathy in her professional tennis career. He also got great pleasure spending time with his grandchildren while coaching them in their sports endeavors.
Dennis will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Jensen Beach.
