Obituary of Dennis Wolford

Dennis K. Wolford, 61, of Stuart, Florida, died September 29, 2008 at his home.

Born in Tidioute, Pennsylvania, he had been a resident of Stuart for 24 years coming from Houston, Texas.

During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Before retiring he had been a carpenter and a member of the Palm Beach County Carpenters Union Local. Prior to that he was a tool and die maker for Hughes Tool Company in Houston.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stuart and a Lifetime Member of the Post 10132 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Stuart. He was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast,

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Peggy A, Wolford of Stuart; his mother Juanita Wolford of Tidioute; sons, John Walker of Norman, Oklahoma and Joseph Walker of Stuart; a daughter Evie Hall of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a brother Ralph Wolford of Benton, AK; a sisters, Sheila Bickling of Sheffield, Pennsylvania and Mia Beatty of Port St. Lucie, Florida; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father Keith Wolford; sons, Brian Wolford, Matthew Wolford and Mark Wolford and a sister, Christine Hall.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on October 1, 2008 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM, on October 2, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Doug LaPointe of First Presbyterian Church of Stuart officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
