Obituary of Dexter Kessler

Fr. Dexter W. Kessler, 69, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died May 7, 2012 at his residence.

Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie but lived in Palm City for 25 years coming from West Palm Beach.

During the Vietnam War, he served in the US Air Force. He was a CPA for Coopers-Lybrand of West Palm Beach and later received his Masters Degree in Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary. Prior to retiring, he was the rector of the Episcopal Church of the Advent, Palm City for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Kessler of Palm City; a son; Frederick W. Kessler of West Palm Beach; a daughter, Kimberly A. Wolfe of South Carolina; sisters, Mary Leber of West Palm Beach, Gayle Hart of Indiana and Linda Thompson of Wisconsin along with four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Carol.

SERVICES: There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on May 12, 2012, at the Episcopal Church of the Advent.
